Job Description : TEST ENGINEER (Test & Check Supervisor)Summary: This position supervises the Test & Check Department and provides service and repairs at customer facilities.Duties and Responsibilities: · Supervise Test & Check Department and perform field services· Interface with Engineering, Service, Production and Sales departments· Perform mathematical calculations to determine system performance and capabilities· Produce test procedures and reports for documenting system performance· Tuning of servo loops, troubleshoot and repair analog circuits· Assist in Research & Development – testing and documenting performance of actuators, valves, and other various components· Conduct system testing, installation, service, and repair work on hydraulic vibration test equipment to ensure products meet performance and quality expectations· Repair and maintain in-house equipment: accelerometers, transducers, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators· Replace filter elements, take oil samples, and perform basic analysis· Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components as a system using machining and assembly prints· Verify customer ordered components are ready and available for testing. These include, but are not limited to: Hydraulic hoses, cables, hydraulic power supplies, slip tables, couplings, bearings, scavenge pump units, servo valve drivers, actuators, vibration controllers, accelerometers, other special componentsSkills and Specifications: · Previous experience in the vibration testing industry is a plus· Experience with hand and power tools, good soldering skills· Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuit boards with signal processing concepts· Broad knowledge of transducers and their capabilities and electrical interface· Strong mechanical aptitude and willing to work on hydraulic equipment· MS Office proficiency: Word, Excel, and Power point· Ability to problem solve, handle pressure, and tight deadlinesEducation and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field and 2 years work experience in a related fieldPhysical Requirements/Work Environment Regularly required to lift 25-50 pounds.Exposure to moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock, and vibration.Working near high pressure fluids.The noise level in the test area can be loud.Must abide by OSHA standards.Requires international travel so a current US passport or eligibility to obtain one is required.Travel: Up to 20% of workWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
