||Position Title: Senior Principal Engineer
Location: Orlando, Florida (suitably qualified and experienced candidate may work remotely)
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Provides engineering support for the F-35 Autonomic Logistic Information System (ALIS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) application and its surrounding peripherals.
Serves as the operational engineering support focal point for ALIS SCM working directly with the Lockheed Martin customer and the BAE Systems software development team to ensure the required ALIS SCM system performance is delivered, supported and upgraded.
Provides guidance and direction to enhance ALIS SCM readiness and overall equipment capability.
Provides engineering guidance to resolve system issues and develop system capabilities.
Supports deployment of ALIS SCM equipment globally including the build and configuration of new ALIS SCM equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides engineering support to resolve or analyze:
System Fault Finding
System Optimization tasks
Track, resolve and report on all system engineering issues
Provide engineering support to the UK development team to implement system upgrades.
Provide engineering analysis around new customer capability requests
Develop and support software tools and techniques associated with emerging technologies such as Cloud Native Environments and Containerized development
Utilize Agile working to support collaborative software development
Support development of test environments and integration strategies
Work with the ALIS SCM Lead Architect or Product Owner to define backlog priorities and assess suitability of potential fixes and enhancements
Supports the effective engineering development and support of applications for use within a complex multi-user Enterprise system, deployed globally, in support of multi-national military users. Acts as the engineering Subject Matter Expert for use of the software application and required to coordinate with the customer, end-users and the product development team.
Responsibilities for Work of Others
Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with the software development team as part of a DevSecOps methodology to ensure the Operational component of engineering is correctly executed and incorporated into the product.
Reports to the Project Engineering Manager for daily duties and priorities
Collaborates with the Architectural and Design lead for engineering development duties
Works with Program personnel and other Company functions as required. Specifically required to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with the software development team as part of a DevSecOps strategy
Outside of Company
Requires extensive contact with external customers and end-users to maintain and understand the performance requirements of the system and the emerging capabilities required by the end-users.
Exerts normal physical energy.
Majority of the work within a standard office environment
Some limited travel within CONUS to support customer issues (less than 5%)
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 8 years related work
Technical Skillsets Required
Atlassian Toolset – JIRA, Confluence
XML, Web Logic, Java
This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance.
The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements.
You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. Must hold a current US Passport
