About us National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Material Processing for our Engineering Process and Strategy department in Waltham, MA. Job Purpose Ensure the timely and efficient procurement of materials associated with special order engineering and complex design projects, including support for Traceable, Verifiable and Complete (TVC) requirements associated with Transmission and other designated asset families. Key Accountabilities Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Track and report on progress of capital work from inception to closeout, with key focus on gas system material processing associated with special order engineering and complex design projects Support tracking and monitoring of material deliveries, charges and costs and processing of quotes, purchase orders and invoices Confirm materials received comply with quality standards and (TVC) requirements associated with Transmission specifications Complete property verification with key focus on vendor issued Certifications of Compliance (COC) and Material Test Reports (cMTR) Maintain and uphold material stock levels for critical spare items Work with material distributors and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to coordinate the return and replacement (RMA) of nonconforming materials Manage excess non-stock materials to ensure efficient re-use and repurpose Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 5+ years of prior materials ordering and procurement experience preferred More Information This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
