Our client is seeking a Sro Radar Systems Engineer that will be assist with definition of radar system architectures, the design of radar processing algorithms, and the development and decomposition of system, hardware and software requirements. Analysis of the radar system performance using real data will also be an important skill set.
Work is performed in a dynamic and collaborative development environment in support of multiple research and development efforts and working with internal and external customers across related product lines. Focus areas tied to our All-Threat software defined AESA radars systems include:
Signal Processing and Waveform Design
Phased Array and Digital Beamforming Technology
Radar Search, Track and Discrimination Design
Statistical and Numerical Analysis of Radar Performance Data
Integration and test of large systems
Model Based System Engineering Development
Perform advanced analysis of radar data using MATLAB
Design, implementation and testing of algorithms for detection, discrimination and tracking systems
Modeling and simulation of system designs to demonstrate performance metrics
Apply advanced understanding and application of radar knowledge to support the test definition and development of validation methods and analysis techniques during integration and testing of radar instruments
Present at peer reviews and develop new technologies and concepts for the improvement of existing and future products
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to use and develop radar analysis tools in MATLAB
Demonstrate the ability to perform the following Systems Radar Analysis assignments:
RF/Radar systems performance modeling
Develop integration, test, and performance evaluation criteria
Coordinate vendors and other team members in development of passive/active RF sensor systems for test/evaluation
Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for planning, implementation and monitoring of requirements, tools, and technology assessments
Ability to interface with customers to define requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
Ability to create and deliver both informational and technical briefings; Technical writing experience, in generating technical documents in support of program and proposal documentation, to include CONOPS, Test Plans, etc.
Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience working in a multi-disciplined, technical team with the ability to develop, empower, motivate and monitor the team
Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
Ability and willingness to teach and mentor inexperienced engineers through regular knowledge transfers
