Quality Engineer

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing Quality Department at its global headquarters in Ventura, CA. Some of the key responsibilities for the position include the following: create quality control inspection plans, lead and conduct internal audits, write work instructions and train quality inspectors, conduct root cause analysis and correction action, collect test samples and coordinate 3rd party test samples, and input material test reports from suppliers.
Qualifications for this position include the following:
B.A. or B.S. in the field of Engineering or Mathematics or 6+ years of directly related work experience
Direct knowledge of ISO 9001 System and Internal Audit
Strong knowledge in mechanical engineering disciplines and metrology (GD&T)
Experience in stainless steel products, ASTM and ASME tubing/piping experience a plus.
