How you will help us connect the world: Assist Total Quality Manager and Quality Engineer in developing, maintaining, and auditing the operations and support processes and systems that are intended to assure the quality of the products manufactured. Duties & Responsibilities Continuous Improvement: actively contribute to teams in leadership or participant role using one or more methodologies (PDCA, 8D, GRR, FMEA, Lean or Six Sigma) to achieve the objectives of the corporate Quality Policy. Administration: Prepare and publish timely reports describing contributions to business, using suitable formats for communication, supported by knowledge of methods for data collection, mining and analysis. Perform transactions in SAP. Planning: Prepare an annual plan for area of responsibility that uses SMART Goals; optimally and efficiently lead multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities daily. Technical Knowledge: Meet or exceed proficiency levels for primary and back-up work assignments; ensure that backup(s) are capable to do the job in event of absence. Prepare and conduct training sessions addressing relevant issues, with operators, testers and other personnel as needed. Six Sigma Green Belt: If not certified, prepare an action plan for training, complete a project and achieve certified status. ISO Quality Management Systems: Have knowledge of the QMS, know areas of system that apply to assigned area of responsibility, keep authored procedures current and build new as needed. Responsible for OTDR/Test Set maintenance Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma required. Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing Certification desirable. 5S/Lean/Interpersonal skills required. Experience with the development of standard work process/documentation. Broad knowledge of LTP, Fiber, & Coax products and operations preferred. Must be detail oriented for conducting audits and creating reports. Excellent math, verbal and written skills required. Proven understanding of SAP strongly preferred. Microsoft Word and Excel experience required. Microsoft Power Point experience preferred. Statistical knowledge and software experience preferred. Previous QC and test equipment experience preferred. The ability to acquire Forklift Certification (training provided). Inventory Management experience. Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external customers. Excellent attendance and work record required. Able to adjust work schedule if needed for deadlines.
