Job Description : Project Manager – Building DivisionThe Project Manager for the Building Division is responsible for the planning and execution of projects including resolving issues, managing resources, project coordination, interfacing with client representatives regarding the project’s progress, oversight of project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching to efficiently, successfully, and profitably complete assigned construction projects. The Project Manager coordinates with the General Superintendent to develop to overall approach to completion of the project, and provide support with manpower allocation.Responsibilities include: · Manage overall project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer/owner satisfaction).· Serve as the single point-of-contact, establishing, maintaining and managing customer/owner, and subcontractor expectations regarding overall project performance.Report project status and performance data to owner and team membersPlan, monitor, and control the project throughout its lifecycleCode invoices with job cost codesOrder materials for jobsReview supplier and subcontractor quotesPrepare schedules for jobsPrepare/review monthly minority reportsAssist Project Engineer with material and subcontractor submittalsAttend job meetings including pre-construction, project, staff meetingsObtain quantities on work in place and prepare pay estimatesExpedite change order work and record invoicesPrepare contact list for labor teamNotification of any change or deviation of original work and prepare change order requestsEnsure that all lien requirements are addressed w/ Accounts ReceivableDemonstrate appropriate people skills to facilitate smooth operation of the projectUnderstand and address labor relations matters in compliance with all legal issues while protecting the integrity of the company and job siteClarify all RFI requestsConduct thorough project closeouts and see that all paperwork and signoffs are completed as requiredDevelop appropriate materials for project meetings and record minutes for future referenceMaintain thorough, organized and legible job filesReports to: President – Building DivisionOversees: Project EngineersQualifications: 4 Year Undergraduate Degree in engineering / construction management preferred5 years’ minimum experience in project managementProficiency in MS Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel and OutlookExperience with HCCS products – HeavyBid / Heavy Job preferredEffective utilitization of the internet as a research and information sourceDetail OrientedPossesses excellent time management and organizational skillsWorks well within a team environmentUnderstands construction language and is able to communicate effectively within the construction environmentHas the ability to train others to perform at acceptable levelsJob Type: Full-timePay: $49,641.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Project management: 5 years (Preferred)Construction Project Managers: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
