Be part of history by manufacturing championship courts and apply today!This job is located at our Mill in Amasa, Michigan in the heart of the scenic Upper Peninsula.The Manufacturing/Project Engineer leads the maintenance department, engineering operations, and GPS deployment to increase the performance of the site in a cost-effective manner.Compensation will be between $90k to $100k depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility, paid time off, and a generous benefits package. Relocation assistance may be provided.JOB FUNCTIONSOversee the technical projects (small CAPEX or OPEX) including defining scope of work (SOW) and the needed resources according to plant priorities defined by the Plant Director and CEO.Establish estimated budget and evaluate risks of projects.Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.Maintain product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.CAPEX responsibilities include writing SOP, establishing schedule and related costs and budget.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
