|Job Description :||Work Location: 177 Industrial Parkway-Jackson, MNDuration: 6 MonthsPay rate: $65 to 70/hour on w2 without benefitsJob Description: Summary of PositionThe Process Engineer role is fully integrated into manufacturing and is critical to maintaining and developing processes to improve the profitability and competitive position of the business. The position works closely with sales, product development engineers and manufacturing to develop new processes and products and maintain and improve existing processes and products.Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Sciences with a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience required.Experience in medical devices manufacturing to an ISO 13485 standard or similar desired.Experience in an FDA regulatory environment a plus.Broad engineering abilities and an understanding of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and industrial engineering; A general understanding of each area with a focus in one or more discipline.A working knowledge of Creo, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks,Competence in laser, automation, and machine vision manufacturing processes desired. Or catheter manufacturing experience or medical device experience.Experience performing DOEs and statistical data analysis highly beneficial.Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to apply to a broad range of manufacturing issues and opportunities.A “roll-up-your-sleeves”, self-managed work style along with an openness to give and receive critical, productive feedback.A work style which can focus on individual deliverables coupled with a desire to meet and work with new people.Superior skills to generate and use input from other team members with diverse backgrounds and viewpoints. Demonstrated success in a team structure.Solid verbal and written communication skills to drive productive interaction with manufacturing, sales, other team members, customers and suppliers.The ability to effectively manage multiple projects of moderate complexity.Proven decision making abilities and demonstrated sound judgment.Experience in lean, six sigma is beneficial.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with Operators and Engineering Technicians to develop manufacturing process and technology improvements (e.g., cost reduction, productivity, quality and safety improvements, automation, special tooling, machine modifications, and improved work methods). Once approved, works with Operators and other staff to implement improvements.When finalized, documents the required parameters for equipment, machines and tools used in product manufacturing.Identifies areas for cost reduction opportunities and creates plans and/or forms project teams to execute improvements. Participates and/or leads Project Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams.Leads or is part of team which designs/repairs/maintains manufacturing equipment, machinery, fixtures and gauges.Engages with suppliers to ensure all manufacturing equipment and tooling meets the needs of the business.Supports the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and teams, including working with Product Development Engineers to develop routings, work instructions, and manufacturing visual aids.Supports the Operations team to solve machine issues, design of engineering controls, work order variances, and maintain work order routings.As needed, develops process validations and writes validation reports (IQ/OQ/PQ) on new or existing manufacturing equipment to support manufacturing.Job Types: Full-time, ContractSalary: $65.00 – $70.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Process Engineer/industrial Engineer: 3 years (Required)Creo/AutoCAD/SolidWorks: 3 years (Required)data analysis/DOEs: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location|
