As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists and accomplished experts in Manufacturing and Operations, you will create, implement, and maintain Operations and Manufacturing Risk Management project for various spaceflight systems. Partnered with Blue’s Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), there are multiple facets to your support of our spaceflight systems. In this critical role, you assume ultimate ownership and accountability for Operations and Manufacturing Risk Management activities within the Integrated Supply Chain business unit. As the primary point of contact, you must enjoy solving communication and organizational problems, earning trust and improving the overall performance of all teams involved. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work with minimal direction and coordinate teams in the successful execution of Operations and Manufacturing Risk Management activities. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Job Description Using available risk management tools and following established procedures implement risk management process for Manufacturing and other operations functions. Evaluate and investigate operations risks by performing root cause analysis and assigning likelihood and consequence values Collect and coordinate solutions and mitigations (Corrective Actions) Calculate and assign Risk Assessment Code Lead operations risk management committee meetings Participate in cross functional and cross program risk management efforts Collect and publish risk metrics as they apply to operations and manufacturing Create and update risk management standards, procedures, work instructions and other documents as required Work independently Manage multiple projects and efforts Work at a rapid pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy Required B.S./B.A. degree in engineering or another technical field 2 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing operations 2 years’ experience in a Risk management role Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills Demonstrated ability building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired 2+ years Program Management experience Export Control Regulations Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
