We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Building Design Group in our Baltimore office. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with the ability to complete the design and construction administration for small to medium sized projects, as well as work as part of a larger design team for large projects. Designs must meet energy and sustainable design targets and criteria. Coordination with other disciplines and project stakeholders will be required.
Responsibilities:
Development of plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications
Mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, knowledge of relevant codes and guidelines, sustainable design, interdisciplinary coordination, and communication with project stakeholders are key considerations
Project engineer will be responsible for developing control strategies, calculations, system concepts, layout, and design, equipment selection, as well as oversight of junior staff
Requirements:
Applicants must possess the following:
7-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of a wide range of mechanical system designs including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing is required
B.S. in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
Professional Engineer License in Maryland (or ability to obtain in MD)
U.S. Citizen
