| Job Description : | Mechanical DesignerRate: 65k-80k base on experienceGENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs mechanical systems, frames, sub-assemblies, etc. for capital equipment used by our industrial customers. Responsible for completing work on-time and within the estimated hours.Designs motion control solutions utilizing pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motors and gear reducers.Documentation –provide accurate documentation of the design in order to provide details for fabrication.Customer site visits to take field dimensions and take the field dimensions to develop the necessary mechanical design utilizing SolidWorks.Production Support – effectively works with technicians during the manufacturing and testing systems and sub-assemblies.Service Support – provides information to the service technicians to help solve the customer’s problems.Sales Support – works with the sales department to provide proposal drawings as required to support the quotation process.Technology – provide necessary recommendations to management on ideas to improve products or develop new products.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Solidworks WizardMinimum 5 + years’ experience in industrial equipment system design.HIGHLY proficient using SolidWorks 3D Modeling and in utilizing the computer and programs such as DraftSight, AutoCAD, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Periodic domestic travel to customer’s facilities will be required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location |
