Job Description : Job Description The Lead Launch Electrical Coordinator role is the key person at Launch to support the plant for First-Time pass rates. This person will lead the launch electrical team and be responsible for the implementation of all electrical Bill of Operations elements. Responsibilities: Complete required training at various sites around GM and suppliers travel required Lead the launch electrical team ensuring compliance to the Electrical Bill of Operations standards Lead weekly leadership reviews Support launch activities for a major program and travel as required Participate in virtual builds/reviews for applicable Program Virtual Assessment gates Host/support In-Plant Wiring Assessments Support plant readiness for builds Document lessons learned for process and product improvements. Create actionable items from electrical failures to enable issue documentation and follow up Utilizes the plant quality reporting systems Reports pass rate performance for all applicable in-plant testing systems and lead corrective action plans. Conduct training of vehicle electrical systems for Team Leaders Lead disconnect workshop during launch to develop a database for repair faults Additional Job Description Requirements: Minimum 3 years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems Product and AVG Engineers and then translate executive summaries to non-technical people Desired Skills: Bachelors degree is preferred Prior Launch experience 3+ years of experience in an assembly plant Thorough working knowledge of GMS and BIQ4 deliverables Prior experience in Plant Operations including Production and/or Quality Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent About GM Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.
