Selected candidate will spend first 6 months learning and manufacturing Air Comm products prior to moving into the Engineering team. Job Details as Manufacturing Assembler (6 month assignment) Perform work on ducts, fasteners, installations, safety wire, torque, forming and bonding, motors, blowers, evaporators, condensers, and wiring assemblies. Read and interpret all engineering drawings and EPS/PPP documents. Safely operate all equipment such as die cut, drill press, lathe, mill and sanders, etc. Troubleshoot quality issues and rework as necessary to ensure the product meets requirements, escalate for difficult issues. Perform tests per the test procedure and record results. Job Details as Jr. Mechanical Engineer Responsible for the design, development, testing, and STC approval of aircraft environmental control systems. Apply engineering standards, techniques, and procedures in the testing of climate control systems in weight and performance-critical environments. Basic knowledge/understanding of aviation regulations and certification processes. Design and integration of aircraft heater and air conditioner systems with guidance from senior engineering staff. Develop cost-effective and high quality solutions for customer-driven enhancements/options to current products. Create tooling, fixtures, and test boxes to support the production of designs. Ability to technically evaluate and select materials, hardware, and system components. Generate comprehensive test plans and reports. Performs basic classical analysis of designs including system performance, thermodynamics, structural, fluid dynamics, and weight/balance. Support the generation of design review material including presentation of design concepts. Applies Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) to design work. Ensure designs are manufacturable, within supply chain capabilities, and meet project objectives. Demonstrates basic problem-solving skills for troubleshooting non-conforming product. . Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or other applicable Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience with 3D design software – AutoCad or SolidWorksMinimal international and domestic travel may be required (must have current passport).
