| Job Description : | Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible foroverseeing the day-to-day branch operation for mechanical construction firm. The General Manager must maintain an attitude and appearance commensurate with that of a thoroughly professional manager.Duties/Responsibilities: · Coordinate with Project Manager and Estimator for scheduling of field crew and timely submission of bids and estimates to customers.· Responsible for direction of timely billing and collection of payment with support from administrative staff.· Maintain weld repair activity for the branch per Quality Control Manual.· Responsible for asset management of building, vehicles, tools, parts, and inventory.· Continuously evaluate effectiveness of direct outside sales and distribution network.· Providing market and competitor analysis.· Maintain current knowledge of the marketplace through regular contact with customers and distributors.· Produce an annual sales plan encompassing all strategies pertinent to territory growth.· Be a brand ambassador for the parts and equipment division of American Boiler· Responsible for managing and growing existing territory sales.· Responsible for annual sales targets and sales growth.· Responsible for the effective promotion of assigned products.· Oversee safety training and branch safety on jobsites as required. Ensuring a safe work environment working in coordination with Safety Director.· Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.· Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.· Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications.· Ability to visit job sites, flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, travel with occasional overnight stays, as required.· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
