Job Description : Responsibilities Responsible for coordination, planning and execution of advanced measurement processes under direction of lead TQE. Develop/Improve/Deploy CMS equipment and or software template to build, inspect and verify tooling fixtures and aircraft components. Must have experience with and proficient in the use and application of one or more of the following CMS: articulating arms, laser trackers, etc. Plan activities related to the measurement of tools and production articles with CMS to meet requesting organization’s requirements. Direct support personnel with the setup of CMS equipment and preparation of article for data collection. Reduction of data on computer-based analysis systems. Contribute talent and energies to process improvement in all related areas. Ensure compliance on calibration requirements with CMS equipment, software and related accessories. Provide training to applicable personnel with respect to CMS equipment, related software and processes. Assists in performing periodic tool inspections to include utilizing CATIA, Spatial Analyzer, PCM, CMM, Laser Tracker, etc. Perform GD&T analysis on 2D drawings and 3D models. Create 3D models from 2D drawings. Adherence to contract compliance through root cause analysis & determination and corrective and preventative action. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Interfaces with customers. Develop root cause analysis on non-conforming processes and products and establish corrective actions as necessary. Conduct detection and prevention methodologies such as process error proofing and layered auditing. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM Field. 1+ year experience in aircraft or related manufacturing environment. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Requires knowledge of 3-D geometry and good technical knowledge of coordinate system manipulation, proficiency of PC-based data acquisition and reduction software. Requires knowledge of tooling concepts, fixtures and fabrication techniques of aircraft structures. Requires knowledge of Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CADCAM) programs. Ability to work with cross functional departments. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks/priorities Experience reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with customer interface. Create and maintain process control plans to ensure process outputs confirm to requirements. Conduct detection and prevention methodologies such as process error proofing and layered auditing. Visual Basic Programming. FAA, QMS – Audit (AS9100), PPAP experience preferred.
