We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical and Controls Field Support Engineer to work on a 6-month contract for our client in Decatur, Alabama. There is opportunity for this role to transition to a direct hire position with the company.
The Electrical and Controls Field Support Engineer is in charge of field coordination for engineering development and also supports construction efforts in regards to Request For Instruction (RFI) and other requirements. This role requires field inspections of existing DCS panels, junction boxes, MCCs, and general equipment layouts to find space for new equipment.
The E&C Field Support Engineer is responsible for locating the right people in the Client organization to obtain the information required. The Field Engineer will also check available space on existing cable trays for new cables and review potential support requirements for new trays that needs to be laid out.
Additional responsibilities include:
Supporting as-built generation
Coordinating with Client employees for technical definitions and specifications
Supporting Client in other ongoing E&I projects
Participating in weekly meetings for coordination of projects supported
Qualifications:
Experience in electrical and controls engineering OR experience as a senior electrical designer with an understanding of drawings and prior field experience
Ability to be onsite in the Client location |
