Job Description : Electrical Controls EngineerLocation: Cedar Rapids, IowaSalary: $100,000 – $120,000Bonus: Yes 10%Sign-on Bonus: $5000Relocation: YesBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Education Assistance, Vacation, and Holiday PayJob Description:The Engineer III ( Electrical Controls Engineer) candidate will complete all phases of control system design and implementation within an appropriate scope of work, timeframe, and cost structure and will work under the supervision of the Controls Manager. The deliverables from this role include electrical engineering design and documentation, programming for logic controllers and visualization interfaces, and technical support for key customers.Requirements/Qualifications: Engineer III ( Electrical Controls Engineer)The Controls Engineer in this position will be capable of identifying and creating electrical standards, procedures, engineering tools, and process improvement initiatives with direction from the Controls Manager.Degreed Engineer (preferably electrical, will consider mechanical or chemical).5-10 years of professional experience in Rockwell Allen-Bradley Controls Platforms.Design experience with Servo System is desired.Proficient with CAD. AutoCad or SolidWorks is preferred.Action-Oriented, Organized, Priority Setting, Problem Solving, Drive for ResultsTime Management, Customer Focus, Interpersonal Savvy, Dealing with Ambiguity, Functional Technical SkillsDuties & Responsibilities: Engineer III ( Electrical Controls Engineer)For assigned product lines, maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and electrical controls programs that comply with established Evergreen and industry standards. Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturing efficiency and lowest warranty. This balance should also account for the highest operational efficiency and lowest maintenance requirement.Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, change requests, and non-conformances for assigned product lines. Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required in support of assigned product lines.Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes.The Electrical Controls Engineer will to complete all phases of the assigned accountabilities to a successful conclusion within the projected scope, timeframe, and budget. The assigned projects will be completed with minimal oversight from the Controls Manager. Collaboration with fellow Controls and Mechanical engineers is key.Assignments will typically be with newer and mid-market level models with occasional sale order specials and product extensions.
