JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Engineering Client is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Transmission and Distribution project team in the Power Sector in Reading, PA. This individual will be responsible for coming onsite one to two days a week and will attend field visits, detailed site inspection, topographic surveys, substation surveys, aerial survey or existing utility poles, and building investigations and document field notes and other data required to develop civil designs. They will be developing detailed drawings for the proposed infrastructure that includes conceptual plans, composite underground utility base drawings, plan and profile drawings, and pull plans, strand maps, demolition plans, site grading and drainage plans, storm water management plans, erosion and sediment control plans, water and sewer system design, and structural details. Within structural details they will be pulling trench shoring details, support of excavation system plans, building plans, permit drawings, and final civil designs in accordance with NESC guidelines, local and national design codes, client standards and OSHA safety regulations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSB.S. Degree in Civil Engineer or equivalent experience as DesignerProficient in the use of AutoCADPlans to take the EIT certification examStrong Attention to detailExcellent Communication SkillsAbility to work in a team environment
