City: Owings Mills State: Maryland SUMMARY: The Electric Vehicle Strategic Program Manager (EVSPM) will spearhead the implementation and performance of programs and manage all services across BV divisions to support the electric vehicle (EV) market. The EVSPM is responsible for launching and building Bureau Veritas Technical Assessments’ (BV) electric vehicle (EV) programs, overseeing the operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations. The EV Strategic Program Manager will: Collaborate with executive leadership to strategically develop a plan for the Bureau Veritas electric vehicle program. Spearhead the implementation and performance of the program to achieve installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) infrastructure targets for BV clients in cities nationwide. Lead the development of a proactive and customer-centric culture in an effort to foster trust, confidence among customers / electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) developers / technology providers, the sales team, and create new / maintain relationships. Manage all aspects of the electric vehicle program including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources needed to achieve EVSE infrastructure goals. Ability to develops subcontractor scopes of work and facilitate detailed estimates for pricing and bidding exercises. Leads preconstruction and estimating team developing detailed scopes of work, budgets and ROM estimates to support new business acquisition. Leads project team in managing design and budget throughout project lifecycle as Design-Build leader. Manages and reports on overall Design Build program budgets, job costs, and profitability. Identifies, qualifies, and assists with onboarding new contractor and vendors. Strategically hire a team of engineers and project managers to comprise the Electric Vehicle team. Lead collaboration with this team, other internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders. Partner with operations and contractors to ensure seamless response to complex public charging station applications for rebates or incentives. Develop and manage relationships within in the industry. Cultivate trusting professional relationships with EV infrastructure site hosts, respond to site host inquiries, and partner with construction planning and business development teams to resolve site host and customer issues. Lead and facilitate outreach campaigns and marketing efforts to increase awareness and participation in Bureau Veritas’ Electric Vehicle Program. Partner with the Marketing and Communications department to maintain and enhance the EV marketing material to include web content. Lead efforts with the EV business development group to ensure stellar customer service, robust program performance and to secure continued growth. Supervise all program design, customer enrollments, budget and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting. Foster growth through innovative design solutions, collaborative relationships with stakeholders both internal and external and through development and training of employees and contractors. Develop and hone the software necessary to administer the electric vehicle programs as well as the data management and quality control. Orient with local committees in jurisdictions of interest pertaining to electric vehicle programs and serve as the liaison for BV with all applicable organizations. Represent BV at industry conferences, meetings with external stakeholders and all related events pertaining to the development of EVSE projects. Partner closely in the development and leadership of sales programs for EVSE as well as design and implement sales strategy to support the development of successful EVSE projects. Conduct performance reviews and monitor/manage EV project team members. Create and present reports defining project/program performance and profitability, resource availability and divisional goals. Ability to use and skillfully operate a computer is essential to this position. Ability to travel, on average, approximately 50% of time to client sites and offices across the U.S. via plane and/or driving as determined based on the project location. Overnight stays away from home may be required. Ability to climb ladders (including vertical ladders up multiple stories) and/or steep roof stairs (for each building assessed, at least once per on-site assessment) Protects operations by keeping company information confidential. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The EVPM will ensure that the EV team is given clear and defined scope of work outlines, visits and projects occur on time, issues are resolved, and technical decisions are made. Directly supervises employees on the billing team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Proven experience (5 years) in managing direct reports in a supervisory role Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified. Valid driver’s license is required. Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
