|Job Description :||Job Description Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week The Role Assistant Program Engineering Manager – SDV Mechatronic Migration will support the Chief Engineer in execution of the migration of VIP (Vehicle Intelligence Platform) to enable SDV on a very compressed timeline. The aPEM will develop plans for implementation and validation of SDV principles working closely with the release, performance, integration, and validation teams to meet program timing. Responsibilities Assist the Chief Engineer in defining the timeline for mechatronic restructuring to meet company priorities and timeline to deliver In Market Enhancements of the future without changes to the mechatronic layer. Lead forum to define and prioritize interface requests to the mechatronic layer. Own Mechatronic Timeline working for Program Controls Managers to meet program timelines. Lead retrofit plans working with program Lead Development Engineers and Program Validation Engineers to meet program timelines.
